I think you made a very good point, JC. You have some highly opinionated political appointees who are medically qualified nonetheless, but there willl be people who feel totally disenfranchised and thrown into the wilderness, who are caught up in this horrior show that is America right now, who might be up in arms publicly or privately even if the decisions made by the new guard make perfect sense, simply because of who the decision makers are and how they got installed by the current administration.

So it comes down to a rather peculiar set of dynamics that the company has to navigate well. That is, to get approval from these people without being seen to be pandering to them and their very strong opinions or prejudices, depending on yoir viewpoint. The science needs to speak for itself and the company’s work needs to be shown to be above politics. It’s a balancing act requiring good acrobatic skills.
