I said something to this effect many times before, that the company can be expected to have honed its skills in the FDA machinations, but also as recently as today that you can overplay politics by starting to “see things”. The latter happens when the extreme narcissist under threat starts doling out roles to all people standing by and they get roped into his or her melodrama.

There is a point at which the melodrama will stop and the main character will move onto the next distraction (in this case it’s on a prominent west coast USA city). What should people who have been given roles standing ready for the next act after (what they didn’t realise has become) the previous episode do? They should pack up and keep carrying on with whatever they were doing before, leaving the narcissist to carry on with and clutch his next (and in this case, last) straw. It is mania, and normal people should re-assert proper boundaries from the chief maniac, and I really believe that point is here and now.

There was an article in the AFR yesterday or on Tuesday quoting the head of BCA saying why this current and latest act should be very bullish for markets. Go track it down. It is a good analysis of the psycho-drama.

This company has learnt a thing or two about identifying and managing risks and distinguishing them from unmanageable uncertainty that will pass.
