    I do however notice that the gross shorting remains still elevated.

    If they are selling and buying back to themselves at the closing auction, etc. we may still have retail holders getting caught out in the middle who capitulate and panic sell, which puts added downward pressure to the price.

    Having said that, I don't think shorts are now the main reason for the likes of a 8-10% fall over a day. I'd have thought those heavy selling is largely caused by margin calls, funds selling, healthcare stocks getting hit due to Trump's "Major" pharma tariffs causing market panic, etc.

    Even then I would not have thought the price would be down this much. Fingers crossed for this upcoming week for some solid recovery.
