Never an exact science unfortunately and my stuff more short - mid term momentum / trend and supp/resist areas primarily but if patterns emerge (like triangles, flags etc) will look to those as well. A good pattern can help more with imminent break outs or reversals where mom / trend etc can take a little to play through but can help stay in a trend a bit longer imo.
Luckily HC has a range of good TA posters with various styles who are worth watching as well to help find what works for your trading style as you learn some TA.
