With the recent aGVHD bounce, both the position and ultimate outcome of shorts may become an interesting story in itself. The MSB short positions plotted below have been taken from the ASIC site and lag by 4 days up to the Monday immediately before the price correction and subsequent rebound.
Sitting on a total reputed position of 35m shares (near steady all time high) the question is have they been able to tidy their positions up in the last 4 trading days. To do so would have required in excess of $100m to close out all positions. I look forward to the ASIC figures over the next week.
