Yulia knows that uranium is Ukraine’s best bet for energy independence.
The leader of BYuT Yulia Tymoshenko names energy, safety and economic collaboration as the basic priorities of relations with EU.
She declared this during the stay in Lisbon on October, 18.
“The first and the main question is power safety, and I consider it the absolute priority, including the question of the beginning of project of integration, because our energy system can become inalienable part of the EU energy systems”, - said the leader of BYUT.
She marked that the Ukrainian system of gas-supplying must be substantially increased by completion of certain parts of transit gas pipelines together with the European countries.
She also expressed the belief of necessity of collaboration with Europe in the question of diversification of supply of nuclear fuel on Ukrainian AEPS.
Yulia Tymoshenko named participating of Ukraine in the system of general European safety as the second priority.
“I think that Ukraine, even not being the member of EU, may begin negotiations concerning the creation and participating in the system of European collective security, it is, possibly, second priority about which I would like to talk”, - she said.
The leader of BYuT named attraction of the European investments in the economy of Ukraine as the third priority.
“We need to begin integration of Ukraine in EU from the multipronged economic projects of investing in any industry of Ukraine, because today the European countries are ready for that to begin with economic, energy integration, and then logically pass to the political questions”, - marked Yulia Tymoshenko.
