That is unless the numbers to be prescribed for are small and then the problem becomes who gets it and who does not; a much more complex discussion which I will not go into. If it were to become an early line of treatment for patients on ventilators the costs would be prohibitive (keeping in mind some people on ventilators do OK and some don't, you cannot pick which is which). At the price you quote, it could never be for widespread use - for most countries, it would actually not even be an option.

I am surprised you cannot see the issue, but I am not able to explain it better for you. I am not "uninformed" as you say, just realistic; perhaps you should partake of a large measure of same (being realistic). The hope must be that costs are able to come down dramatically and quickly, otherwise it is a solution which may save a few, but not the many and certainly not the world as many here hope!

There is broker note floating around in these threads that uses 75 grand per dose.

They'd know more than you and me I'd suggest.

And as for the suggestion insurance companies aren't going to folk out 250 to 300 grand to a million is ridiculously!
