I don't think there is a right or wrong on this topic, I think it's subjective.

I for one don't have the time or patience to deal with downrampers so I put them on ignore.

However, i'm certainly glad that you can and have the time and energy to counter argue Downramper's incessant, uninformed, duplicitous, brainless dribble.
