I guess lots of holders started off as very bullish, some with good intentions of supporting an Aussie start up to cure the incurable.
After many years (some may have been holding for a decade!) in bewilderment and seeing BoD seemed to care more about themselves than their small supporters, most of retail investors sold out with hefty loss.
Those remaining are true believer of the technology, with a wish to advance stem cell treatment to help those in need.

I think those with held position and sell sentiment reflect in their hearts they want MSB to succeed and they are stubborn/silly enough to hold on, but in their minds they know there is much better opportunities elsewhere in the market since Day 1 they bought in !

Afterall making a fast buck is not the only way everyone invests!
