Don't get us started on "Spirit of Germany," please. Although, quality of their products is generally of a very high standard and german (West) economic rise since WWII is most admirable (also a lot thanks to their protectionism but that's the "spirit"), it was also german banks that were a major power behind fixing LIBOR rates, Greece debt death spiral or volkswagen's involvement in emission scandal to name a few recent cases. Speaking of cars, volkswagen/porsche itself started by stealing designs to build the beetle.
