Couldn't find the MSB Clinical data + Publications thread, buried under the recent cream.
Found this summary paper on macrophages (critical to my incipient filthy riches).
Had no idea some were so long lived in tissue.
Anyway, some quiet reading and reflection for those so disposed - when MPCs tap the baton while all around in fury blush and hack, these babies toot their middle C.

"...In 1968, based on labeling studies after whole-body irradiation, van Furth and colleagues proposed that bone marrow–derived circulating monocytes are the source of tissue macrophages (3). This paradigm was overturned within the last decade when several independent groups reported the results of genetic lineage tracing studies in mice (4–10). They found that in many tissues, macrophages originate from precursor cells derived from the yolk sac or fetal liver and differentiate into macrophages as part of prenatal or antenatal development. These “tissue-resident macrophages” can be very long-lived (months to years in the brain, liver, lung, and skin) and self-renewing, maintaining their homeostatic pool without a contribution from circulating monocytes..."
