I majored in history of science, and learned that experts, scientists and doctors can earnestly believe and think what they know to be Correct, yet be totally wrong when new science comes along. New theories and proofs come along to supplant prior worldviews. We're talking about paradigm shifts.

- The medieval theory of the four “humors” in medicine
- Darwin's theory of evolution
- Einstein’s theory of relativity
- Plate tectonics in geology
