Given the cost per treatment + availability of MSC stocks on hand, it makes sense. My guess is that MSB would not be able to produce enough treatments if it's set up for an earlier stage, for example people that are in ICU without the need of ventilators. Maybe how MSC works on inflammation would be another factor.
It gives us more confident that the people in charge of MSB know what they are doing.
