well yeah. I distinctly remember seeing a guy with common thalidomide related deformities when i visited a old Navy fort and asking my mum - what's wrong with him. She explained to me the Thalidomide fiasco. I was shocked.
To this day, i know people who are involved in class action law suits against drug companies for allegedly fudging findings in their clinical trials.
The risk for the FDA is very very real. And another PR disaster is not something they want to entertain.
Sorry for being more informed about world events prior to my birth.... another mistake of mine on this forum. apparently.
