the trial is designed to only take in the sickest patients, thus efficacy is almost guaranteed at 300 enrolled. this is why recruitment is so slow because these patients are very hard to find and are the minority of the sick people out there. 45 or 60% enrolment trial stoppage would be a bonus but this is designed to ensure success for the future treatment of all ARDS not just Covid. SI and team are forward thinkers and brilliant.
