Wow, someone mentioned "end of quarter," and it struck me: September 30 is the end of the Fiscal Year for the U.S. Government. Meeting pdufa due dates is a major performance measure for FDA, and they work especially hard to meet those dates for treatments under accelerated review like Ryoncil. Meeting performance metrics is a big deal in the U.S. government. (I know this from having spent my entire career as a federal employee. How easy it is to forget!)
You can bet that FDA is working very hard to meet the September 30 deadline for Ryconcil decision.
