For always and too long , it has been easy and is so simple to avoid actual awareness - of the stark and horrible , painful reality of what patients actually endure with the conditions of note .. and their Dying , slowly and terribly ! ( a copout never acknowledged by anyone who avoids , unless it is them or their child ? )
In the corporate or financial world - it is so easy to keep the demeanour for the business attire and practices , all words , and not go near medical awareness or near the afflicted people and how it ‘is’ . Maybe no conscious awareness of “avoiding “, but absolutely to never visit the realities of how things are for patients.
Too gross ! Horrifying ? Well just not nice ., etc . Think whether is “appropriate “ etc !
Many people
never want to be accountable in their mind or real self for , & they must not actually get overwhelmed with compassion or grief for the poor people affected ; ..
but instead - get angry !??
Affronted - that the images , even only one image is shown ,
of how it is for a baby or child when they get into the too serious category of an acute condition such as aGVHD , or an illness or disease, .. and
no medicine works .
You’re affronted ?? Do people cope better with animal images of abuse and neglect - and outcry sometimes then ?
I think this also is true - much easier sometimes .
It has and had to be done - of course images of what aGVHD in little children is like , and it’s only a photo depiction .
I don’t think anyone could claim too much stress from one image , & of a sleeping baby , afflicted . ( not crying , not seeing how dehydrated , unable to eat or drink or be placated
)
Those who suffer the PTSD & after- grief onwards from what these little ones , or any patients endure -
**are the parents , the spouse , the close relatives seeing their loved ones endure so terribly and die ; ..and the nurses & the doctors ! PTSD - hugely .
They are the ones who see these patients suffer , helplessly if cannot do more or even give full relief and comfort and must say tough things to desperate parents and children who can understand - they wish fervently that something can be done.
To get the Treatments which are even quite safe & more natural approved which work , & save the lives .
On being cured , these kids can grow up and go on and live normal & worthwhile & contributing.., & happy lives thereafter !
Not everyone copes with images well . For sure .
But it is inappropriate if they are Not shown .
Emergency services and medical staff see real distressing suffering and terrible every single day, and they feel for the people who are actually suffering. ( not the viewer of one relatively mild image compared to the situation - if could feel the child experiencing & watch as their little body is being assaulted from within & externally - and likely not make it . )
