After some sleep, my mind is a bit settled now. As many already mentioned, we can just wait for the news is coming. But I believe there is no room for number of conspiracies from below for the following reasons:
Conspiracy 1: They are holding a negative response:
My thought: A listed company is not allowed to keep sensitive information (been official) for them.
Conspiracy 2: The response from FDA got postponed to 5th Oktober. And Mesoblast wants to avoid down ramping share from panicked investors
My thought: A well possible thing, still I don't believe that the company is allowed to trade halt for that reason, instead of announcing the delay.
Conspiracy 3( OR THE REASON): The response is due on 5th October. The FDA, or anything related to the information from the FDA, requests/forces the company to halt until they have the answer.
My thought: I don't know the reasons for sure. But this is the only specific reason for me to enforce the trading halt.
