We have all been hoping for an announcement but may we should be careful what we wish for.
I really do think that if there was much to hope for from the CHF results, we would have heard by now.
In that conference last March, Dr Perrin was saying that if the results were good, we would hear in August or September, otherwise at the coming heart conference on 13 November. It now seems uncertain whether we will hear the outcome even then. I know people are saying Covid has slowed things down but when Dr Perrin was speaking in March wasn't pre-Covid. Australia announced on 19 March it was closing its international border to no-residents, remember, so I doubt someone as plugged in as Dr Perrin was unaware of the Covid issue at that stage. In any event, I have never understood how Covid is supposed to slow down data-analysis: all the follow up visits had been done, I believe, so it sounds like the perfect work-from-home/virtual-co-operation project. @kervio and he will give you a good idea of how things look in an hour or two.
Of course, if MSB had results, it would have to announce them to the market. However, it is probably not too hard not to have results if you don't want them: tell the analysts you won't be paying them at this time due to "other priorities" and they probably won't do the analysis, so you won't have any data to announce.
I would love to be wrong but I find it pretty unlikely that there have been these great CHF results sitting around unblinded since last May and everyone has been too busy with Covid to notice.
Same for chronic lower back pain.
As far as the 45% ARDS trial figure is concerned, that seems overdue, too. I can't forget that when trading was halted (7 minutes after the NASDAQ opened) in response to the Complete Response Letter, the company initially said it expected to make an announcement the following week! In the event, it did so the following day. But that didn't suggest our management were above holding off announcing bad news while they worked out how to spin things, in my opinion.
Good news comes early. If you go for a job and y9u get a phone call that afternoon, it is to ask when you can start. If you get a letter ten days later, it will thank you for your interest and wish you well for the future.
Please someone reassure me by telling me what I am missing.
