While this may be good news , they have a long way to go. Seems as though we have been here before with other treatments that have since been proven to be of little use. Is this data any better than that of the Russian vaccine?
Hopefully if this vaccine is 90% affective, it should have a major impact however uptake will be slow . Let's presume a positive vaccination program of say 70%, that would leave 37% of the population unprotected. It still leaves a huge population that MSB and others will need to treat.
This virus is not just vanishing. It is here to stay and we have a treatment that is very safe and effective.
