I am not surprised at all. We've been seeing these wild swings on any old rubbish news for months. ATHX and PSTI had their jumps in the MSC world. Moderna in the vaccine world. And countless others (including a few hyped by Trump without justification)
You have a sad, broken world, desperate for any ray of hope, and companies that are all racing to be the "first" to come up with whatever and get the brass ring that comes with being "first". Doesn't matter if what they put out doesn't hold up in the end, just push the announcement, watch the share price skyrocket, make a packet..then watch the share price fall on the reality. Wash, rinse, repeat.
We have to just keep trucking along here. Nothing else to do, and NO reason for an MSB announcement simply to calm the fears of a few shaky hands on HotCopper. There will be news announced when there is ACTUAL news to announce. Not before.
