Actually, just looked up an example of overwhelming efficacy (https://www.tctmd.com/news/rivaroxabans-overwhelming-efficacy-coronary-peripheral-disease-leads-early-halt-compass) and it had a hurdle of 4 standard deviations "the confidence in a benefit of rivaroxaban had to exceed 4 standard deviations for the trial to be stopped."
Maybe that means the p-value would need to be <0.001!
