the bots/algos are not mythical you can see them in the trading activity lol.... I think what you mean is that the bots trade with intent to tilt the stock a certain way is an unproven claim, and I'd grant that... all we can really demonstrate, as far as i know, is that small volume amounts tend to correlate with larger price movements, and algos/bots trade in the smallest parcel sizes...
