Imagine you've paid to short MSB at $2. You're actually paying to borrow but make a profit on the basis that the share price is going to go down. History is on your side, wait 3-6 months and you're sure to make a few bucks. No announcements expected over the silly season, market a bit toppy, easy pickings......

But this time it goes up. On no news. In fact of 100 growth stocks it goes up the most. More than Tesla. More than Apple. More than any of them. And until you buy those shares back you're still paying for the privilege. By this point you've given up hope of making a dollar, you just want to forget about it. Now when do you cut your losses and buy back?

It's getting close to February now and an announcement could make the pain worse. Much worse. And no one wants to sell them back to you so the price just goes up.

    I'd be pretty salty too.

But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be wasting my time on here displaying my saltiness by telling everyone to stop being so irrational and sell their damn MSB shares so I could buy back my shorts cheap. Because at some point it just looks like desperation.......
