We are all different and have different risks appetite.
When referring to "invest what you can only afford to lose", I'm talking about the loss of 100%; which is unlikely for company with an MC of $2.2B... there'll be enough warning signs.
If you look at the a few worst events that happened to Mesoblast:
- TEVA walked away - what % drop was that? Did the SP recover? In fact, it became a huge bonus for Mesoblast as we've got the rights back
- LVAD results - what % drop was that? Did the SP recover?
- Covid-19 pandemic - what % drop was that? Did the SP recover? In fact, it became a huge bonus for Mesoblast
I didn't say there are no risks, but I'm saying the rewards are simply outstanding.
BTW - @Celestial - I've never said to bet your house on Mesoblast.
There are certainly risks associated with any investment, but you can't equate that to gambling
