It's not that much of a risk if you have a good plan in place for when or if things don't go expected.
I may be a newbie who has 100% invested in my smsf, but unlike most newbies, I keep an eye on any stock news, updates and the price on an almost hourly basis.
Therefore as soon as any indicative value depreciative movements happen, I'm better prepared to quickly cut my losses and sell out.
It's not that much of a risk if you have a good plan in place...
