Thing is being versed in all things "stem cells" is not an easy task and takes a very large amount of time to digest. Your avg punter might have a bit of T/A experience or read a few charts but to understand science that none of us ever got taught is a rare gift. I saw some posts about crew all in on 1 stock and put everything including re-mortgaged property behind a position in MSB, investing madness from my point of view. I know risk/reward weighs heavily and to get caught up in the hype surrounding "sure things" is an emotional connection most would fail to identify.
All things equal I would never invest more than say 10% of portfolio funds into a biotech speccy that hadn't turned a positive cashflow, if a little diversity meant you had say 25% weighed to the biotech sector then the rest would best be more conservative stocks. But each person must come to understand their own decisions and live pragmatically with them. Inclusion of MSB as a stock portfolio of biotech's would be a sound choice.
Footnote is failing to realize "risk" is a leveler for all......what if SI got covid19 and ended up leaving his position, what if the lab had a massive fire and all research/equipment was lost? Sh*t can happen and to be exposed to margin loans or covering investments with cash that isn;t there can only end in tears.
