My additional reasons for suggesting a later date rather than an earlier date for release of trial results
1. Great results but minimal product availability could become a PR disaster for the company. And bad for the US Govt. Need time to make more product and get it to the US. People have stated a 3 month manufacturing cycle. ??
2. Early cessation of medical trials, even for great efficacy reasons always leaves a bit of a bad taste imo, & has a long term residual taint to the product and as to the actual efficacy had the trial been completed. “Inadequate numbers” etc.
Am sure MSB would like all 300 patients to at least have received their treatment before early results are released, so that all 300 results could be included in final analysis later.
And no-one politically or administratively would want to stick their neck out and release a new ‘drug’ until the basis for their decision is covered by the science.
