Well put TechFan20. To that I would add that if MSB has success with the Stage 3 trial and then approval for Covid-19 ARDS, one of the major benefits (apart from the large market and large revenues already well covered by others on HC) will be the extensive publicity that MSB and its innovative cellular medicines will get. IMO, if it turns out to save 90% of dangerously ill ARDS patients, and take much of the pressure off Governments finding themselves in a Catch-22 situation, Ryoncil and Mesoblast more generally will become well known by most countries, most Governments and public health authorities, most hospitals, specialists, doctors and pharmacists, most other Pharma companies including potential partners, most medical research institutions and even most patients.
Normally, one of the big battles after a new treatment is approved, no matter how good it is relative to existing treatments, is getting known by those who matter so that the treatment is widely prescribed and used. IMO, Mesoblast will now not have that problem thanks to Covid-19 and associated free publicity. That kind of publicity and widespread general awareness would be worth much more than MSB could have expended on its own. Just another reason to be invested.
