I sold a lot of Athersys in Thursday's after market, breaking it into pretty big chunks where I tried to get the highest price possible. Many of those big chunks would appear as smaller trades because multiple buyers took a piece of the offer. I had some sell orders for 1,000 and 2,000 shares that were filled in part by buyers purchasing tiny amounts, including single share orders.
My point being that even on some of those tiny, odd-sized trades, on one side of the table there might be someone who, on their end, is executing a large trade...
