Does anyone with more knowledge confirm CDC will stop or keep the trial running when the 30% (90 patients) are enrolled? With the trial going for another two weeks, till the data is processed and analyzed, the rest of 210 patients to have the full enrolment (300) can be easily done in the actual US conditions (210/14days =15 patients/day, 20 centers enrolling, less than 1 patient per hospital/day). In this situation, the full trial results can come a few weeks later, with extra confirmation/validation.
