I wanted to share some outstanding news folks:
As many of you already know, I had lamented about dismal institutional holding of MESO (ADRs). It was 2.1% as of the end of first quarter 2020 (first Q in the US is Jan, Feb and March).
Institutional ownership means a conviction in the company and it's future growth and more importantly, it means the number of shares traded in and out on a short term basis is greatly reduced. Institutional owners do careful due diligence before buying shares. The greater the institutional ownership percentage in a company, the stronger the stability and growth prospects.
Since I wasn't able to get any response from Mesoblast US IR, I took it upon myself to do some research. Spent a few hours and this is what I came up with:
Ok, so on 07/24/2020, Fidelity Select Biotechnology Portfolio (FBIOX) reported they purchased 2,182,670 shares of MESO. These are ADRs so the purchase was in USD. 2,182,670 ADRs equates to 10,913,350 of MSB shares.
Would you say that's a nice chunk? So what this means is Fidelity Select Biotechnology Portfolio (FBIOX) added MESO to their
Select Biotechnology Portfolio as a new position.
Fidelity Select Biotechnology Portfolio (FBIOX) has current net assets of about $8 Billion USD and has 91% of its allocation to biotechnology stocks. Here is the allocation breakdown:

I want to make it clear that I do NOT post on the Yahoo board. When I look there on occasion, I noticed that at least one poster "MarketMania" has posted my posts without citation. This does not bother me but I just want to make it clear that I do NOT post on the Yahoo board.
