Thanks @ecoool2 - I've now had a chance to read it properly, but I'll probably read it again.
There are a few things that I want to bring to your attention, here goes...
I don't see a sharp fallback after the ADOC date, as it will bring surety for those investors that have a lower risks tolerance. There are quite a number of these investors, some are even current holders (most new) who would step up their holdings when the +ve news is announced from the ADOC review.
This is a huge turning point for Mesoblast, as it is one of the final step to take it from a Researched based company to commercialisation - this is a big deal and many years in the making - so I don't see a huge drop off.
As for SI, we both use the marathon analogy, but mine was when posters throw up TO.
SI has run 40kms of the 42kms marathon and can see the stadium and soon will hear the roar of the crowd.
There is no way he will be stepping away anytime soon. I'll keep it simple and will hold until the Mesoblast story changes or SI sells out.
As for those "professional" sharts, I'll say it again.
They are so "professional" that they forgotten to include an exit strategy...
Seriously, they should act like any investors, but the opposite way of course.
What should I do? Hold, Buy and Close their short positions?
What are the risks involved? What are the rewards?
Surely, any "professional" shorter should know that given the upcoming events, there's much more upside risks to holding a short position with Mesoblast than closing it - so why haven't they closed their position?
How do you close that much volume (~35m) in a short period with the least pain?
I'm definitely gonna witness a short squeeze - bring it on
