Could be as simple as wanting to lock in some profit. I've you've bought in the $1 - $1.50 range, it's tempting to take some money off the table after a 100% return, and this market shock may have been a good excuse to do so.
Also, across the ASX there has been a heavy sell off of companies towards the speculative end (which MSB still falls under until approvals and other announcements which are due this year).
