@ ecool2 yep but the flipside is the shorts could be the ones selling....at the new highs. Therefore they will become net buyers on downside. In your notes on the short trades, are you saying they hold back a certain % of the borrowed stock to control the price/cap it/ drip trade it down? I know with the assistance of algo's and bots it can be a set and forget. Also I do wonder about collusion between brokers as a back scratch scenario when they help each other out from a losing position...never trust anyone with the unfair advantage and the funds to do it.
