while I agree that it's as useful as reading tea leaves (incredibly appropriate analogy for "Cup and handle"), and while I'm in fact not a huge supporter of TA, TA is often used as a tool for entry and exit points for some, which, as you can probably imagine, informs peoples trading decisions. Given how MSB have been trading historically, starting to feel like fundamental analysis is gaining an equal amount of witchcraft status... But generally I agree @benelong
(in fact I'd make the argument that your better off doing macroeconomic, or tech analysis on indices in these times... which certainly wouldn't belong here either).
