Just went back to check timelines - MSB issued an announcement on 10 March that it would be investigating ARDS in COVID-19 cases.

Here we are on 1 May and it's now enrolling patients in a 300-person, double-blind randomized placebo control trial at hospitals across the US, all on the NIH's nickel, with MSB only needing to provide the cells - which it had prepped and on hand for its impending AGVHD approval. Said approval will probably come along with--or perhaps even AFTER--FDA approval for Remestemcel's use in ARDS patients. Now, Dr. Grossman confirms what we all suspected--overwhelming efficacy could see this trial end VERY SOON, perhaps as soon as late May or early June.

Just over 1.5 months from that initial announcement to today. And only perhaps only another month to full FDA approval.

In the same time, we have seen a ton of other pretenders to the throne get their own hype from similar small, uncontrolled trials. Sure, they all got quick sugar hits to their share price...but none of them are anywhere near as far along as we are. Indeed, both Athersys (via a CR, heavily backed by Bank of America) and Pluristem (via a loan) got funding for potential trials...but no actual trial announcements, no BARDA, no nothing that would impact MSB's position as the clear frontrunner.

The sheer discipline, professionalism, and speed with which this has all been executed--with VERY LITTLE in the way of grandstanding or hype, is incredible.
