I DON’T KNOW, as far as I can recall, it didn’t fall off a cliff but deflated slowly as the euphoria around stem cell therapy waned. It may have started with a hiccup in one of its trials followed by some poor announcements/deals. I think MSB had too many irons in the fire to support. I was particularly excited by the progress of CHF and thought that this would have been the lead treatment at the time. Trials take time, people’s interest and patience takes its toll.
I got on this train in 2005 and took a sizable profit in 2011. I traded down (unsuccessfully) for a while giving up most of the profit but managed to hold on to a small parcel which I consigned to the bottom drawer for a rainy day. Now that we have arrived at the pointy end of the business and this pandemic has promoted MSB onto the international stage (who needs advertising) and rolled out the red carpet with free trial to boot, I have revisited the bottom drawer. Suffice to say I’m still holding the kitchen sink.
