2008 was nasty, 2010 lingering problems, 2011 the final kick in the guts. Many lost a lot. These crashes aided by high frequency trading were awful because strategies to limit losses didn't work. It was a new era with financial viruses that had not been encountered before. By the time the cures had been applied it was too late for lots.
Time to be very careful, now. Everything is very toppy. Major correction time in my opinion. Time frame 2 weeks to 2 months.
I was at my best during these 3 years and still managed to lose heaps (hips). But I learnt a lot. Most important lesson....focus on avoiding losses above relentless pursuit of profits.
