This little tiny blip down at the end of this chart is 2m shares that were bought back by the shorts on the 8th of June - that represented half the total volume for the day. That moved the shareprice from $1.75 to $1.93.
To get back to the short interest that we were at in July last year the shorts will need to buy back 10x that amount....
