All IMO, the Novartis and Mesoblast relationship has been burnt to a crisp.
Normally it gets heated and then everyone extends an olive branch and goes their separate ways, knowing the world is a very small place. This reads as if they just got divorced and Novartis has taken out an AVO!!!
We will have to wait until SI writes his memoirs to find out. And even then it will be one side of the story.
Everyone knows the best form of revenge is success.
You can bet your bottom dollar that there is at least one person in Novartis that has had to justify his/her existence in that they have spent the last 1-2 years on a project that was a waste of time and money (from Novartis's perspective). What better way to do that then dump on MSB?
