Most useful and thought provoking comment I've seen on this board for a while.

There seems to be severe detachment between the MSB SP and the fundamental progress of trials. I agree that MSB is a good story with SP at historic lows - but it keeps going lower. Any hint of a rally after a good announcement is being quite blatantly knee-capped. Said knee-cappers are most likely on this board talking the SP down. All of this is explained by one statistic - the extent of short holdings.

So what have I learnt form MSB (and recently AGL)? Avoid the heavily shorted stocks until the shorts start seriously unwinding. Might miss the absolute low and miss the turn whilst waiting to see what the shorts are doing, but better than losing blood trying to pick whether a good announcement and bounce in the SP is the knife hitting the floor. Until the shorts start seriously unwinding, the bounce will surely be knee-capped every time.
