I respect that you want to help the mums and dads but I'm not sure what anyone could have said to stop this. Human nature has been taken advantage of it seems. If I hadn't held for so long, trusted my investment decision, and seen first hand the lengths people go to for nefarious means I too might have been spooked. Although I would say Dolce that over the years you have helped people see that there are people lacking moral fibre that will go to any lenths to sow doubt. You can't help everyone but you will have helped some.
