It makes no sense for you to apply value investing logic to a speculative biotech company over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

You are so right in what you say; presently, Mesoblast relies on the kindness of others to survive.

MSB has been a bad investment relative to overall market over 5 years (or whatever period of time you want to compare it to) but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad investment... yet.
That depends on the investment timeline and MSB success in the future.

If the trials fail, and mesoblast fails, than so be it, the investors have beeen wrong, but just because the share price has languished doesn’t mean you are right. Risk vs reward analysis is correctly applied at this stage and value investing analysis incorrectly applied.

Investors in MSB see the potential upside vs downside risk and think they will make a positive return on their investment . There is absolutely nothing wrong with that view.

The only mistake they have made is thinking Mr Market works on the same simple logic andp the same timeframe that they do.

You’re 100% entitled to your view on mesoblast but imo you currently just incorrectly apply value investing logic to a speculative stock. That’s not profound in any way, and doesn’t make much sense.

Why don’t you comment on the financial shortcomings of multiple early stage companies or at the very least (to the best of my knowledge) more than just MSB?
