I listened to the webinar today and appreciated the confidence SI exuded. He struck me as a man who knew his time had come and that all the hard work he and his team had put in was about to pay off. There was a brief moment that made me cringe—when he said the phrase "in short order." It reminded me of CEO Summerhayes from the movie Ricky Stanicky. Summerhayes is a well-meaning, competent, reflective CEO with good intentions but has one small flaw. Maybe at the next AGM, someone should suggest to SI he avoid using that phrase again. The other 99% of the presentation was wonderful, exciting and boding well for the future of company of Mesoblast, the shareholder and the excellent and visionary team behind the company.
