Sometimes the truth accidentally slips out. On the MSNBC show, Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski said this:

"He (Trump) could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control what people think, and that is....that is our job."

She is the daughter of Zbigniew Brzezinski so she has probably been well schooled in this line of thinking.
