"At the height of its operation, mining was believed to have been at a rate of over 2 million tonnes of ore per annum.
"During its last nine years of operation it is believed to have been one of the major tungsten mines in the world," Republic said.
Adding to Mt Carbine's favour is that its two mining leases have both been recently renewed until 2023 and some 670,000 tonnes of mineralisation remains in the open pit at time of closure, however Republic stresses this is not JORC compliant.
Additionally, Mt Carbine also comes with two underground stopes containing some 7Mt of ore. "
