In about 1997, HC gained notoriety on all the excitement in Carpenter Pacific (CPC). They were having great drilling results then on MT KARE. A couple of years later CPC sold their interests in Mt. Kare to Canada's Madison Enterprises. They also got wonderful drilling results. But ran out of money.(interest).

Last week I was speaking to a native from Hagen (in that general area) and he said he'd seen uncleaned nuggets from Kare more than two inches wide. Unfortunately he reaffirmed what was accepted 'knowledge' all those years ago.

That Is: Kare wont be developed till Porgera starts running out. Then Porgera will extend the necessary infrastructure and buy out controlling interests. If IDC does half of what CPC does a lot of money will be made and lost. Great play whilst POG remains high.
