I sincerely appreciate the frank posts in this thread. Such threads often provide valuable education for us.
I've been investing in LYC for a couple of years, and I did a very simple hedge some time ago by selling half my holding at around $2.10, thus enabling me to rebuild over recent months at prices down to 74.5 cents. So while I'm nervous again now as an older retiree who really shouldn't be investing in specs, I'm hoping that my risk is acceptable at an average cost of about 64 cents.... (I tell my SMSF director heirs that this isn't a spec!)
