"Acquisition of 500 million tonne Coal Deposit"
"Historically, under the Guidelines for the Estimation and Reporting of Australian Black Coal Deposits (1999), Mount Mulligan had an identified Class 1 deposit of 144m tonnes and an identified Class 2 deposit of 507m tonnes. Despite being mined for over 40 years the deposit is under explored, with only two holes effectively testing the basin."
"In addition, it will be necessary to better define the deposit, and a drill program consisting
of 10 holes from the top of the plateau on approximate 1km centres is proposed. This
should provide a high level of confidence regarding the detailed nature of the deposit
because all relevant data points will be at maximum 1km spacing and existing data
shows clear continuity of structures across the deposit."
Vert.. going thru old announcements and came across these.. Seems like mantle is saying that there is 500+mt of coal there.. With only two holes drilled. Would the extra 10 holes to be drilled produce a greater resource of coal or are those extra 10 holes being drilled to just define the 507mt of coal already there?
Can Class1 and Class2 be added to give u a total of 651mt?
thanks in advance Vert..
